Firefox 3 Crashes

Sorry to say it but Firefox 3 just, well, sucks. There I said it - as hard as I tried to hold back. I say this after an article I was writing for over one hour was lost after the browser locked up and crashed on me. Ever since I installed the new version, Firefox has crashed on me far too many times than I can count.

I recently went to the Mozilla community support forums just to see if I was the only one experiencing crashing problems. It so happens I wasn't.

I entered in the search phrase "Firefox 3 crashes" on the Firefox site and lo and behold, 3525 separate search results came up. Then, I went to Google and entered in the same phrase and found 4,330,000 pages on the subject. Compare that to when I Googled for "Firefox 2 crashes" having only 906,000 pages and 22 search results at the Firefox Mozilla forums.

Wow. It does suck and I believe it has got steadily worse over the releases. I been a Firefox advocate ever since beta 1 and noticed it has steadily gotten worse.

My Firefox 3 Problems

What kind of problems am I getting? When closing Firefox, it still exists in memory! I have to kill the process with task manager. There isn't a day that goes by when this happens and failing to do so makes my system come to a crawl struggling to obtain memory.

Firefox hangs, sometimes when I'm on a Javascript intensive page like at Google Adsense. Imagine fully researching an article and you start typiing in your work. Then, only to have the browser crash on you losing all the work. I hate having to start over from scratch and regathering my prose and thoughts.

I don't want to sit here hating Firefox but I'm in a ranting mood right now. Sorry Firefox guys, but I just cannot risk having hours of writing go up in smoke. I really think you guys need to test your work out better.
