Are you in Southern Or Northern Calfifornia?
One of the nice things about California is that it is so big and there are plenty of things to do. The ocean and mountains are within a few hours away in every direction. The warm weather encourages outside activities. There's plenty of biking trails, parks, lakes and streams for fishing. The beaches are free and there are plenty of festivals, farmer markets and things like that to do year round.
