Donald Trump Runs For President - Again

A vote for Trump is a vote for? Oh I dunno. But if I sat around for the next hour I could find something that rhymes with Trump. Bump? Lump? Hrrrrumph?

You know, I have a problem with rich people wanting to be President. Especially those that are in it to benefit themselves. People of wealth should not be allowed to run for political office - especially in times like this.

In no way does accumulation of wealth have any significance as a factor in leadership or experience when it comes to making decisions to run a country. You have to ask yourself why wealthy people want to be in political office in the first place. Maybe its because they want to find some way to reduce their taxes, eh?

Besides, buying out an election doesn't work. We saw this with Meg Whitman and even Mitt Romney. Money and power are two wrong ingredients that when mixed together leaves the door open for manipulation and corruption. Include into this anyone who has worked on Wall Street as well.

A Presidential candidate has a deep desire to lead it's citizens. It is one that is instilled and continues to brewi from within. It isn't a "I'm rich. I'm bored. I want to be President" sort of revelations. Politicians grow over time just like any career.

But its even worse when people throw their hats into the ring and run with no prior political or government experience whatsoever.. Decisions are made with context around it. If you had no prior experience in government or a history in community service, do us a favor and quit fooling yourself. A flight attendant, a computer technician and a concerned citizen is not going to win a ticket to any party convention. This isn't Myspace. This is real.
