KerryOnWorld Breaks Top 1 Million Alexa Mark

(openPR) - Campbell, California (November 9, 2010) - KerryOnWorld, a news, discussion and opinion website announced today that it has broken the Alexa 1 million mark. The social newspaper website known for publishing article submissions from the public and sharing them in citizen journalism style, broke the mark last week.

"We're back and we're connecting. Since the relaunch of KerryOnworld.com over three months ago, we have gone from a 12 million rating on Alexa to 989,000. This is a significant move for us as it tells us we are on our way back into the world of publishing", says Kerry Kobashi, Founder.

"We are working with the belief that every person has gained knowledge and is creating new experiences everyday. We want to hear about what you observe, what you know, and what you have opinions on. Every person has a meaningful social message to share. Unfortunately, they may not know where to share that."

In a study, a social media research team cited that 71% of Twitter Tweets fell on deaf ears.

"Today there is too much noise in the channel. Most information shared in online social communities is spam and of little value. We want our writers to take on subjects that are meaningful. We want to open the door to thinkers and talented writers to express themselves, to be heard. Opinions and discussion in the open that can help people improve their lives."

Started in 2004, KerryOnWorld was one of the most frequently visited Myspace third party sites in the world. Today, the site has changed its focus to be a driver of delivering social messages.
