Resident Evil 5

Capcom, the maker of the recently released game Resident Evil 5 said Monday that it had shipped over 4 million copies for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3. The demo alone has been downloaded nearly 2 million times in just 3 days.

Since 1996 the Resident Evil series has demonstrated that it continues to shine with some of the best action adventure series titles.

Four years in the making, Capcom used its MT Framework game engine, a multi-platform code base that ports from PC to PS3 and the Xbox 360 to develop Resident Evil 5. Yes, that means the games aren't solely targeted for your favorite gaming console.

The storyline revolves around Chris Redfield, a field agent for the BSAA who's mission is to travel around the world eliminating anti-biorganic weapons. Redfield gets a hot tip that a terrorist weapons dealer is located in Africa and immediately heads there to meet with Sheva Alomar, another BSAA agent. As imagined, the two go into combat with everything from grotesque monsters to bosses.

Diehard Resident Evil 5 fans will love the new graphics and environmental changes from the dark gloomy scenery of old to the new, brighter outdoors scenery.

The spooky fear factor still exists remarkably in the lighted scenes. The action is fast paced and stays true to the series that is well worth the experience. I'd give this game a 4 out of 5 star rating and recommend those into mainstream video games to pick up a copy.
