Playstation 2 Price Drop

Psssst video gamers. Playstation 2 is going to get a price drop. Sony said that it is going to drop the price on the worlds' most popular video gaming console April 1st.

Over 120 million Playstation 2 units have been sold since it first debuted in 2000. And what is Sony going to drop the MSRP down to?

$99!

I don't have a PS2. I do have a Nintendo GameCube, Sony PS1, Nintendo SNES, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo NES, and Atari 2600. I even had an original Atari Pong. I haven't bothered to buy a PS3 or Xbox/Xbox 360 because the systems are way too expensive. I can get just as good quality games for my PC. So why should I spend over $400 for a high end video gaming console?

With the PS2 coming down this much I'm going to get one. The reason being that the sheer number of video games available is a total lure for me. At my local computer store, Fry's, GameZone, Toys R Us, Walmart and Target, I can get a ton of PS2 titles for under $20. Compare that to the outrageous prices on XBox 360 and PS3 titles at $59.95.

This is a total no brainer if you just are looking to kill some free time with cheap entertainment.
