Food and Drug Administration Recall List
If you've bought eggs recently, check the FDA Egg Recall List.
Cook All Future Eggs Well
It is strongly recommended that you do not cook eggs to be soft boiled, "runny", or "over easy" until the FDA has located the source and put a stop to the Salmonella egg outbreak. If you want to avoid the current outbreak altogether, consider using your local farmer's market.
Salmonella Symptoms
If you have eaten eggs and are experiencing the following symptoms in the last 72 hours, you are encouraged to seek medical attention. Salmonella can lead to death, especially to those with weak immune symptoms.
- Diarrhea
- Stomach cramps
- High fever
What's Needed
According to Dr. Margaret Hamburg, Commissioner of the FDA, additional personnel is needed to conduct investigations. She wants more federal funding and legislation put in place so that the administration can use preventative measures to stop further outbreaks not only in eggs but in other food products as well.

This makes me angry!
The egg farm that was found to have caused the salmonella outbreak had tested positive in 426 instances from 2008 to 2010.
Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms was found to be the source caused potential by contaminated feed given to hens.
I cannot believe our government did not enforce these violations if not shut these companies down. Over 2400 people have been sickened by this event.
