When 47 year old Susan Boyle walked on stage, everyone in the crowd and tv audience viewers couldn't possibly see how she could be a singer. Gawky, frilly hair, bushy eyebrows, the middle-aged Britain sauntered on stage to the snickering crowd. What she did next was truly amazing.

I saw this earlier today
I cant help but watch it over and over with tears in my eyes. I hope Susan Boyle wins. It will say so much about the issue of looks and acceptance in society.

She totally won the audience over. When I first saw this I thought it was a joke. But I guess that says a little about me that I do tend to judge on looks. Its sad that I do and society does too.
The world needs to know about Susan Boyle.

Oh my gosh! I have to admit when I first saw this that I was judging her initially on looks alone. The camera panning didn't help either as the directors knew that she rocked the house. It was no surprise though my reaction was the same as theirs - no way can this lady do what she does. But after watching this, and the what transpired, I am ashamed of myself for viewing one this way.
