i may just buy one of these

One of my SATA hard drives was making really horrible sounds and was taking much too long to read and write to the disk. After pulling the disk drive my system went back to normal. Then of all things my Maxtor external OnePlus drive lost its disk partition and after I established it, I kept losing files and it wouldn't sync with my directories. After having it for just over a year, I had to toss that one too.

The Cavalry looks very good and well priced. After this weekend I'm thinking of getting one to backup all my media. The people at Buy.com who purchased the product are rating it very good and the comments have been very favorable as well.

One thing that is nice about this Cavalry drive is that it supports both eSata and USB 2.0. I'll probably go with a SATA connector straight to the motherboard for faster speed. The other thing is that its a huge drive - 1 terabyte. Its hard to find external 1TB drives at this price point.

i bought one of these and it works great

I use it to backup my laptop hard disk with all my business documents on it. Its fast and quite affordable given the size of the disk. I also use it to backup my desktop computer too.
