Microsoft IE Bug Exposes Computer

Microsoft has reported that a bug in it's Internet Explorer browser can be abused by hackers and allow them to overtake a computer.
Microsoft issued security advisory 2488013 this week to alert users and IT departments
All versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer have this flaw.
A rogue web page, when visited by you, the user, can inject invasive code into memory. The problem is caused by a flaw in a Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) function where a portion of memory it uses is uninitialized. A hacker knowing this weakness, can install code into this uninitialized memory which can be executed remotely, letting the hacker exploit your computer.
Armed with this information, all users of Microsoft Internet Explorer should make sure that they protect their computer by doing the following:
- Make sure you update all your software programs, including Windows itself
- Turn on and use a firewall application
- Install Anti Virus and Anti Spyware software
We at KerryOnWord suggest protecting your computer with the following software programs below:
If you already have security software to protect your computer, please take the time right now to check that your firewall, anti-virus, and anti-spyware is installed and operating properly to prevent any problems.
