Easy Way To Install Ubuntu With Microsoft Windows

August 4 2010 by Kow

Ubuntu
For those who aren't thrilled about messing up their computers and pulling their hair out installing Linux, here's a tip - its not that difficult anymore.

You can now install the popular Ubuntu Linux while running Microsoft Windows. Learn how.

Linux Installation Was Hard

Anyone who has attempted to install Linux the first time knows how difficult it is to get it running. Oh the hours, fiddling with stuff and breaking things reminds me of sheer frustration. Grub this. Monkey with disk partitions that and blow up computer. Stand on your head, rub your tummy, and try to whistle at the same time that.

No. fun.

Wubi: The Linux Installer For Microsoft Windows

Along comes a really cool installation program for Ubuntu - Wubi. Microsoft Windows users can now get a Ubuntu distribution onto their existing computer without much fuss.

Wubi doesn't require for you to burn a CD. You just run the installer and let it download Ubuntu. There is no need to screw around with disk partitions (and potentially hosing your Windows installation). And uninstalling is a breeze - just rerun Wubi and it removes everything safely.

If you ever wanted to try Linux, go for it and install Ubuntu with Wubi.
