Mercedes Drops Maybach Brand

November 25 2011 by Kerry Kobashi

Maybach
Among all the Black Friday hoopla, Mercedes Benz quietly announced that they will cease production of the luxurious Maybach brand starting in 2013.

Founded in 1909, Maybach was the original creator of the engines used in the Zeppelin airships and military tanks. Over its history, Maybach would produce high end luxury cars and be revived by DaimlerAG to compete against Rolls Royce and Bentley.

The super luxury cars are priced from $350,00 and are custom manufactured in up to 2 million variations exclusively for each owner's personal style.

Currently, the company offers the Maybach 57, 62, Landaulet, and Exelero models.
