Keifer Sutherland's 24 Redemption was when I first caught view of the Hyundai Genesis and I knew instantly it would be a hit. Hyundai? A popular car? You bet and the sleek styling, power, and safety ratings on this baby has made a big splash taking car of the year honors.
Stocked with a 4.6 liter V8, the Genesis is capable of generating 375 horsepower and can do 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds. Whoa you say? Who would ever have thought that a Korean automaker that traditionally sold low end cars could instantly come out and jolt the luxury sedan market?
This car makes the Mercedes E500 series and BMW 500 series look bad. Real bad. Not only that but it makes the BMW 700 series look even worse. Now I know you are just waiting for the sticker price. But first some pictures to oooh and ahhh about:

Standard features include a 4.6L V8 engine, 6 speed automatic transmission, 18" alloy wheels, power sunroof, leather seats, am/fm/cd/mp3 audio, xm satellite radio, ipod/USB jacks, 6-disc CD changer, power tilt steering wheel, electronic mirrors, 14 speaker surround sound audio (yes 14 speakers!), leather dash and door trim, front fog lights, 4 wheel anti lock brakes, dual front airbags, automatic headlights, electronic push button start, heated front seats, and a whole lot more.
Gas mileage? A respectablve 17mpg city, 25mpg freeway.
The price? $37,000 base. German and US automakers ought to be embarrassed. Hyundai has just kicked your butt. Car buyers don't even bother trying to lowball at the dealer because demand for this car is high. Rumour has it more models based off the Genesis are coming to kick you in the nuts for the second time.
Heck, even the $22,000 3.8L V6 306 horespower Hyundai Genesis Coupe looks cool.
